Runtime Scenarios

The commodity flows use the ComV3 services: com-service for offers and COMtrol rulesets, and com-order-service for placing orders. The predecessor ComV2 is no longer used. After KBP has placed an order, downstream processing transfers it asynchronously to the core system (EnWiCore) via Digital Layer events on the service bus.

1. Commodity order booking

An agent captures a new commodity order (electricity or gas). KBP fetches product criteria and offers from com-service and places the selected offer with customer, delivery and payment data in com-order-service. Downstream processing transfers the order to EnWiCore asynchronously.

NATO checkbox: For the configured USAG sales partner, selecting the checkbox suppresses the declaration of intention and, for new customers, replaces the first-name input with the Tax Relief Office selector; the order then follows the same booking path shown above.

2. Commodity tariff change booking

An agent changes the tariff of an existing contract. KBP requests the available tariff-change offers from com-service, books the change through com-order-service, and publishes a Digital Layer event for asynchronous processing.

3. Entry-point PIN validation

When a client such as ASI opens KBP with pinvalidationrequired set, KBP decides whether the agent must confirm two digits of the customer’s PIN before the requested page opens. Expert roles may skip the check; the PIN view also offers the self-service and SMS actions.

4. PIN administration

Which PIN actions an agent can trigger for a customer, depending on whether the customer already has a PIN and whether the agent holds the superuser role.

5. E-mobility permissions entry point

ASI opens the permissions view for an e-mobility customer by APA id or EmobBilling account GUID; KBP resolves the debitor id, the EMP id and finally the permission id before the view renders.

6. Business process diagrams in the requirements section

The order-capture main path, the relocation process and the receivables task lifecycle are drawn as Archify diagrams next to their use cases in the requirements section of the KBP wiki (Order Capture, Relocation, Receivables Management). Their sources are /images/kbp-order-capture.workflow.json, /images/kbp-relocation-process.workflow.json and /images/kbp-receivables-task-lifecycle.lifecycle.json.
